IGF was born from the cultural exchange of indigenous peoples with people from the city, who felt the need to contribute more actively. A multidisciplinary group was then formed to develop projects and actions that would produce effective results in protecting the environment and improving the living conditions of traditional peoples.

Infrastructure
Development of projects to improve structural conditions and access to villages, both to facilitate meeting the basic health and education needs of indigenous peoples, and to meet their demand for structures that provide conditions for the development of local ethnotourism.
Indigenous Education
Development of projects in the area of education, having as fundamental principles the concepts of differentiated teaching and living school, where the school is made, beyond the school environment, in all exchange of knowledge and learning experience inside and outside the villages.
Financial autonomy
