The Guardiões da Floresta Institute is a non-profit multidisciplinary organization, which aims to develop and execute projects for the preservation of Amazonian biodiversity, focusing on strengthening the communities that inhabit this region, valuing the cultures of indigenous peoples, who with a vast knowledge of the Amazon ecosystem have lived for thousands of years in integration with nature, as true guardians of this precious heritage of humanity.

 

Since its founding in 2010, the IGF (Instituto Guardiões da Floresta) has worked in close partnership with leaders and grassroots associations, carrying out projects that encourage local leadership, always in accordance with the demands of the community itself.
